While staying on Rubondo Island in East Africa's Lake Victoria, we were delighted to see this African fish eagle take flight from a tree near the water's edge. Looking much like our bald eagle, the fish eagle (Haliaeetus vocifer)) has impressive looking talons for grasping its prey. Rubondo Island National Park is located in Tanzania.

Nature photography has been my passion from the beginning, but my portfolio has expanded over the years to include travel, street photography and blues music.
