Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Artist's Description

The Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, sometimes looked like a green tornado rising from the horizon at Blachford Lake Lodge in Canada's Northwest Territories, about an hour's flight from Yellowknife. I used a fisheye lens for a wider perspective, which also curved the horizon.

I picked up a film camera when I was in my early teens and have put it down only once - In 2003 when I replaced it with a digital camera. Nature photography has been my passion from the beginning, but my portfolio has expanded over the years to include travel, street photography and blues music. As a travel journalist, now retired from the Chicago Tribune but still trekking on a freelance basis, I have photographed in more than 60 countries on all seven continents. I admit to a love affair with the American West and Southwest and now live in the red-rock country of southwest Utah.
